The Cottage

Two of our girls have begun playing local footy over the last month while some of the Cottage men serve as ‘Water-boys’. Staff, their families and other residents crowd around to cheer on the girls and enjoy the perfect weather of autumn. We even get out the footy & have a kick at half time.

The girls have spoken about the activity being a great tool for self discipline showing up for training and being part of a team. This provides an opportunity for social interaction while managing stress and having some fun. this game was played at the Kialla football ground while Nathalia held ground the following week. This shot is affectionately named ‘eye on the ball’

Action shot taken by staff on a fast shutter speed to freeze motion.

Great article on the benefits of sport
