What facilities are at The Cottage?

Q: What facilities are at The Cottage?

A: There are three houses in total at the Cottage housing 25 people in total.

A Large recreational room is located at the main (double story house) where residents and staff participate in painting, drawing and other creative activities casually or formerly.

A large garage where there is gym equipment and bikes which have been either given by families of residents or donated by Community members.

A large Commercial style kitchen with gas oven/cookers where meals are prepared of an evening for all 3 houses.

A fireside/BBQ area where residents and families can gather.

 

Q: Can I leave The Cottage or have contact with people outside the Cottage?

A: We require residents to stay at the Cottage premises for the first two weeks, only leaving accompanied by a staff member or  an approved person. The same is applicable for phone contact however calls can be made from the office to approved people (to be established upon admission)

 

Q: How can I pay my fees?

A: Any payment method is acceptable – electronic or cash.

Monthly rent payments can be deducted from Centrelink payments via our Centrepay Business account. Or via Direct debit from your bank or financial institution.

 

Q: Is there a refund if I change my mind once signed up?

A: Our staff work in loving service to communicate with potential clients and this can sometimes take some time and resources. The Intake and administration service costs money. The Intake/Administration fee and fortnightly rent fee is non refundable once payed into the account. This money is an investment in freedom from addiction.

Q: What can I expect to gain from a stay at the cottage?

A: A brand new life! We know this sounds radical and Cliche. If you meet some of our previous residents (Check out their Testimonials ) you will discover that they have long since left the Cottage program after having completed it, however they still participate in the program and remain apart of the community as leaders.
